Welcome to Fukudaya, the Inn of the Dancing Girl of Izu at Kawazu Yugano Hotsprings
Established in 1879 (12th year of Meiji), Fukudaya is the location which,
after Japan’s Nobel Prize-winning author Yasunari Kawabata’s initial visit at the age of 19,
became the location for his acclaimed novel “The Dancing Girl of Izu”
Though time flows on, we strive to serve our visitors with the same unchanging dedication. Come immerse yourself in the history,
the hotsprings, and the world of The Dancing Girl of Izu at Kawazu Yugano Hotsprings’ Fukudaya Inn.
