The Yugano Hotsprings have been adored by many authors; Fukudaya is especially renowned for Yasunari Kawabata’s stay which became the model for the narrator’s experiences in his novel “The Dancing Girl of Izu”.
The room where Osamu Dazai wrote “Tokyo Hakkei” has been preserved, and in addition to viewing this room visitors will be able to see a wide variety of literary materials from authors and poets such as Masuji Ibuse and Tatsuji Miyoshi available for browsing in our records room.
